The school hosts three national-level research platforms and three provincial/ministerial-level research platforms. It focuses on seven major research directions, including integrated circuit EDA, energy-efficient integrated circuit, power integrated circuits, micro-electro-mechanical system, chiplet integration, optoelectronic fusion integration, and micro/nano characterization and 2D materals. In recent years, as the primary award recipient, the School has won two second prizes of the National Award for Technological Invention, two second prizes of the National Award for Scientific and Technological Progress, one second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award, as well as more than ten first prizes from the Ministry of Education (Technological Invention Award) and the Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Award. It has published high-quality papers in journals such as Nature, Nature Materials, Nature Nanotechnology, and IEEE-JSSC. A number of landmark works in the IC field have been accepted to leading conferences: ISSCC (integrated circuit design), IEDM (devices), and IEEE-MEMS (micro/nano electromechanical systems).
